Felted Fun

While at Schoolhouse Craft this weekend, I had a lot of fun using my down time playing at the Art Camp for Big Kids table.  This group offers classes and retreats aimed at adults.  There were a variety of projects, but I just couldn't resist felting.  I had never done it before, and it was AWESOME.  I made flowers.

I wish I had an action shot because you pretty much just get to stab felt over and over with a needle and get it to all mesh together.  Very fun.  I may have to invest in some felting supplies.

  1. The Schoolhouse Craft Conference looks like so much fun! I love the idea of Art Camp for adults. The process of felting holds a great deal of appeal for me, but I haven't tried it yet. Guess I'll add it to "the list"!

  6. @Pamela Yes! There are more complicated ways (which is what I imagined), but really I just cut out a felt shape, positioned some felty fibers on top, and stabbed away!
