ICC #18- Flower Pin

This week's Iron Craft Challenge was flowers.  I decided to work on a project I've been wanting to try for awhile.  Has anyone else seen pictures of those cute felt flower pins?  I feel like I see them everywhere.  I've been saving this tutorial in pdf form for months now, so it seemed like time to make it happen.

I followed the tutorial pretty closely so I didn't take pictures of the process.  However, I did make a few changes.  Rather than gluing the petals, I sewed them.  That way, I didn't have to wait for the glue to dry and I could just fold them down and stitch them as I went.  Also, I chose not to add the photo pocket on the back since I'm keeping this flower for myself!

  5. You know, google informs me that the national flower of Korea is the Rose of Sharon... was telling my mom last night what a cute barrette that would make for a little girl... maybe we could get together to make it as pretty as your flower here!!
