I have to say, I love a good cardigan. So when I saw this tutorial on DIY cardigan clips, I had to try. It took me awhile to find some good clip-on earrings and even then they ended up being too loose! I replaced the earring clips and then they were good to go. I added two chains for a decorative touch.
It's been too hot to wear these out for real, but I'm excited for the fall weather.
Ooh, this is so cute and feminine!! I need to make this!
ReplyDeleteI love cardigans, too! What a fun idea.
ReplyDeleteGah! I love this! Where did you find new clips for the earrings?
ReplyDeleteAt the craft store. The earring clips were so loose they didn't stay on anything. I just bought some findings for clip on earrings and replaced them. The old findings were so weak I just yanked them off with pliers.
ReplyDeleteI suppose that make sense. There are still some parts of my local craft stores that I've never been into before. It is kind of fun actually because it is like discovering new and exciting worlds when I meander about blindly. The jewelry making section is still kind of a mystery to me, though I did wander in there one day to get some ring blanks. I guess it is time to mount a full out expedition into that section's gemmy, sparkly depths :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute way to dress up a cardigan!
ReplyDeleteVery fun! I like the idea of using earrings - I have some very cool ones that were my Mom's. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWe used to wear these! They were very stylish, many years ago! These are cute!
ReplyDeleteAdds a fun pop of color! Love it!
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea! I love cardigans too, and wear them a lot in the winter. Esp. good when your temperature is running hot and cold... internally!
