Today we will be making embroidery piece headbands. Yay! To get started you need: an embroidery patch that you like, a headband (I found a fabric pack at target for $3), and matching fabric (I used cotton, you're welcome to experiment).
Step One- Using the instruction on the patch, iron the patch onto a piece of fabric.
Step Two-Trim around the patch and cut another small piece of fabric that will fit on the back of the patch.
Step Three- Glue the headband in between the patch and the fabric scrap. I used tacky glue, which has been holding up alright for normal wear. I found that binder clips worked really well to hold it while it dried.
Step Four- Admire your work. Put on headband and admire yourself in mirror. Wow you are stylish.
Love this project! My girl wears headbands and this would be so much fun for us to create personalized ones. I also love the business card holder ... I too am working on my sewing skills now that I have my mother's vintage singer sewing machine. Perfect thing for all the scraps of fabric I have.
