California Dreamin'

I spent last week with my husband's family in San Clemente, CA.  It was a week filled with relaxation, sun, and the color blue.  I painted my toes blue and wore blue shoes.  I also had a new blue swimsuit.

One day, we drove up to Laguna beach to check out the sites.  We drank coffee and walked by the beach.  We also stumbled upon an awesome store called Twig.  I bought a bracelet with watches printed on it and a travel mug that says "Don't Stop Believing."

The house we stayed in was beautiful.  We were close to the beach and could watch the gorgeous sunsets from our porch.

In the front of the house was this cute little chair set.  We don't have room for something like this in our apartment now, but maybe someday.

How was your week?  Do anything fun or relaxing?

Cathedral Art

After sharing my graffiti photos yesterday, I thought I would spend today sharing some other art I photographed on my European travels.  This time the focus is on cathedral art.

Stained Glass designed by Alphonse Mucha- taken in Prague

Painted details in a church in Budapest-the entire interior was covered with it.

Oilcloth Luggage Tag

Yesterday I was searching for inspiration on my "Projects to Try" pinterest board and found this tutorial for a luggage tag.  My husband and I have said we need something to make our luggage stand out more, so this seemed like a great project.  I had some leftover oilcloth from a previous project, so I used that.  I didn't follow the tutorial exactly, but used it as an inspiration point.

What do you think?  I put in a little card with a C on the front and our info on the back.  The C is looking a little like a G so I may redo it.

Off to the Midwest Again

Well, the hubby and I are flying off to the Midwest once again.  We're heading to Carbondale, IL for a church conference.  My shop has gone on vacation mode and the crafts will wait till I get back to WA on Sunday.  Get excited though, I have a new project in the works that will be listed in my shop shortly on my return.  Here's a sneak preview...
