A Peak In My Studio

By studio, I mean the half of our guest room/office that I use to do my art :)  Here's just a few pictures of my organized chaos.  First, Here are some of the bird charms I have been working on lately.  Lots of love birds just in time for Valentine's Day.

Now zoom out and look at the mess that I normally crop out of photos.  Don't worry, I know where everything is :)  I tend to spread out all of the projects I am working on at once and group them by color/project/feeling.

I fuel all this activity by drinking lots of tea.  I normally switch off between tea and coffee, but this week has been all about tea.  My current tea of choice is Earl Grey with honey and lemon.  Here I am enjoying it in the tea-for-one pot that I got in Cambridge, England.

That's it for now!  Hope you are all having a lovely week.

Thrift Store Find

Check out this awesome piece I found at Value Village a few days ago.  I'm a sucker for embroidered wall hangings and this one seemed like the perfect fit for my new craft room.

I have it hanging above my desk for now.  In the future, I may decide to clean up the wall a bit and hang up even more fun/inspirational items.

Craft Space in Action

I've been putting my new craft space to good use.  I'm loving having a separate space devoted to my craft business.  I can get up and "go to work."  Plus I don't feel guilty about having my painting materials spread out all over the place.

New Craft Room!

I'm very excited to be able to share this.  After a lot of hard work and re-organization, I have turned our second bedroom into a craft room.  We had been using it as a guest room/office, but it was pretty much a giant storage closet.  We almost never had guests and didn't do work at the desk.  I wanted to clean it up to make it usable and now I have a craft room!

I added to the tiny desk by setting up my craft show table.  Since I only will need it every once and while for shows, I thought I should put it to good use as a work station!  I put my wooden art desk on top and now I have lots of room to spread out.

The other side of the room still has a guest bed.  My plan is to get a new duvet and some cushions.  I'll try to make it look like a couch so it can serve as seating when we don't have overnight guests (which we almost never do).
