For supplies, I bought a vase and two plastic clotheslines from the dollar store. Besides that, all you need are scissors and a hot glue gun.
Decide how you want to do your colors and then just start wrapping. It's slow but easy work. Just apply a little hot glue to your vase and then press down the clothesline. Add a bit more glue, then a bit more clothesline.
To change colors, just cut your clothesline and glue the end down. Then start your next color right up against the old color. You can do this however many times you want in any pattern. I chose to add a few blue stripes near the top.
Continue working until you reach the top. Then just trim your clothesline and glue the end down. I went all the way to the top of the rim and then glued my end piece along the inner lip.
That's it! You would never guess this was made with a dollar store clothesline. I still have over half of each color left so I'm planning on making a few more of these once I buy a few more vases.
