ICC #18- Flower Pin

This week's Iron Craft Challenge was flowers.  I decided to work on a project I've been wanting to try for awhile.  Has anyone else seen pictures of those cute felt flower pins?  I feel like I see them everywhere.  I've been saving this tutorial in pdf form for months now, so it seemed like time to make it happen. 

I followed the tutorial pretty closely so I didn't take pictures of the process.  However, I did make a few changes.  Rather than gluing the petals, I sewed them.  That way, I didn't have to wait for the glue to dry and I could just fold them down and stitch them as I went.  Also, I chose not to add the photo pocket on the back since I'm keeping this flower for myself!

    Very pretty. In that red I could see a bunch of those on a Christmas wreath too.

    You know, google informs me that the national flower of Korea is the Rose of Sharon... was telling my mom last night what a cute barrette that would make for a little girl... maybe we could get together to make it as pretty as your flower here!!
