Baby Shower Projects

I recently hosted a baby shower for a friend who is also pregnant.  Her little boy is due next month and we had a blast celebrating him.  Here are some pics from the event.

For her gift, I made her a onesie that said "lil bro" and a shirt that says "big sis."  She has a two year old daughter already.  I used freezer paper stencils to do the lettering; you can see an awesome tutorial here.  I decided the onesies would also make cute decorations.

You can't really see it, but I also made some little clothespin airplanes for decoration.  Her nursery is decorated with teddy bears flying planes so that's what we did.  My friend also found some teddy bears and gave them little aviator scarves.

Finally, I made some tissue paper puffs.  These were much easier to make than I thought.  You can see a tutorial here.

  1. Wow! You are amazing. I love those tissue paper puffs and imagining them for lots of other stuff.

  2. What fun! I love the crafty decorations! Can't wait to see photos from your shower!

  3. Looks like a blast! It always means more when you've made stuff, I'm sure she really appreciated it:)

  4. Cute!! Looks fun and looks like there was quite a haul of loot there :). Also, love the rainbow bookcase!

  5. What fun! Love the poufs, and the clothespin airplanes are adorable! It was a great idea to make decorations that can be used later in the nursery!

  6. How cute! great decorations! The clothespin airplanes is such a clever idea!
