This week on Iron Craft, we were challenged to "
Think Inside the Box" and create something out of a box. I puzzled over this for awhile and then realized all I have been doing lately is making things out of boxes. I have been taking plain, wooden cigar boxes and turning them into jewelry boxes for my
etsy shop. Although I don't normally use my Iron Craft projects to make items to sell, I went with it this week.
This is my first one done. It is green with blue owls. You may recognize the owl stamp from my
fabric stamping tutorial.
Inside, I added wooden dividers that I cut with my new scroll saw (swoon!). I also used foam and fabric to add a ring holder.
Do you like it? I'm working on two more that are pink with green turtles. I hope to have those in my shop later this week.

You even cut out the dividers yourself?! Girls who use power tools rock.
ReplyDeleteOh Kat, you're nice. I love power tools. Now that I have my scroll saw, I'm dreaming of a drill press...
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! I love that you went so far as to make ring holders inside- great idea!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great Jenny! I agree with Nancy that the ring holders are a beautiful touch. I hope that these do well.
