ICC#20- T Shirt Restyle

This week's Iron Craft Challenge was to restyle a t-shirt.  I started with a plain t-shirt that I found on the target clearance rack.  It's a really pretty coral color that is actually one of my favorite colors to wear.

I started by cutting off the bottom 2 inches or so.  It was a little long on me so this put it at a better length and gave me extra material to use.

I trimmed my extra piece to just have the hemmed part.  I then did a quick stitch through it to create gathers.

I then sewed this part on the front of the collar.  I did this by hand because it felt easier than using the machine.

Ta-da!  Here is my finished ruffly t-shirt.
